About me

My background.

My name is Ryan Krisztonn E. Yana.
I’m based in Cebu, Philippines.

Where it started

My father gave me a Nintendo 3DS and a PSP when I was a kid. Games got me interested in computers. When I finally had a PC, I started finding out what else I could make.

I watched creators with Blender intros, custom edits, and channel graphics, then tried making my own. I joined online communities, played with people across time zones, and shared what I made. I didn’t think of myself as an artist or designer. I just enjoyed making things.

How I learn

After STEM in senior high, Computer Science felt like a natural choice. Music, game design, graphics, and web design had all led me to a computer. At university, I also learned about project management, technopreneurship, and law.

I usually start a project by looking for references and tools. Before an edit, I study flow and tone. Before a design, I look at what others have made. That curiosity carries into hardware, law, politics, and whatever else catches my attention.

The people around me

Family is important to me. The people who supported me shaped who I am, and I want to be someone they can rely on in return.

I’ve valued teamwork since I was a kid playing varsity football. Presenting to professors and panels helped me become someone people trusted to explain ideas clearly. I value both: doing my part and helping people understand each other.

Outside of work

Music, cars, sports, media, and technology. When something catches my attention, I tend to spend a lot of time learning about it.
